The Princess of Wales engagement ring is inspired by the ring originally worn by the late Princess Diana and now the current Princess of Wales, Kate.
Prince William and Miss Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" Middleton became engaged in October 2010 during a private holiday in Kenya. The Prince William revealed he gave his long-term girlfriend the distinctive blue sapphire ring that belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales, to make sure his mother "didn't miss out on the excitement".
This ring is gold plated and showcases a large central blue bohemian crystal surrounded by a halo of smaller white bohemian crystals.
Measurements
The head of the ring measures 1.5cm(0.6in) in width and 2cm(0.8in) in height.
