This silver-plated violet crystal ring with cubic zirconia is modelled on a ring with a rose-coloured oblong spinel and a border of diamonds, set in a silver mount, probably made in London and dating from circa 1850. Spinel is a precious stone found in Sri Lanka and Thailand.
